Of course, the later guns had their ejectors replaced with extractors as a cost-cutting measure prior to Marlin/H&R being closed down by Big R, so I guess Taurus cheapening out in 2024 shouldn't surprise me...

Jun 28, 2021 · For a bushcraft carry option (ie survival gun) I carry my EDC 9mm. If I was going to pick a gun dedicated to long term TEOTWAWKI scenarios I would pick my .25 cal FX Independence PCP air rifle with integral pump and carry at least several thousand pellets (each has the power of a .22 short at 1/2 the weight).

Jun 8, 2019 · a dozen years ago i picked up a scoped h&r single-shot, .223 rifle for something like $250 on gb.com. they cost way more now. it’s my only .223 and indeed centerfire rifle of any caliber. totally untactical, but slow fun and nanny state ok.
