It plays a lot different from Vice City, GTA III is pretty fast paced, while Vice City is slow and steady and smooth while III is pretty rough, as well as more "modernized" like better physics and features like more weapons, and helicopters, planes, and bikes. As for the map, i'd say they are equal.

Really, it has a special place in my heart. Mainly for its 80s atmosphere. And it's references for other GTAs like liberty city. There was a character named Reni, real funny. It was a main character in Gta Vice city stories in 1984. 14 years later in GTA Liberty city stories, in 1998 the same character appeared in radio, the radio was flashback FM.

Jan 5, 2022 · Vice city has better vehicles and a better soundtrack. More colorful, more flamboyant characters and Tommy is a maniac. Gameplay is marginally better in vice city but pretty much only slight improvements in combat and running mechanics. Gta3 is still my favourite. Love Liberty City's map and I love the story
