These fish are healthy and have learned to thrive off of the Blue-Back Herring population that the Mountain Lakes boast. During the late summer months Yellow Perch group up in the grass and brush around the shorelines.

Jan 9, 2022 · OP, if you can get dialed in on 'em, Clarks Hill has got very good numbers of yellow perch, and the best places to catch them are accessible by canoe or kayak. A week or 2 after the crappie really get going you can cruise along parallel to shoreline in 8-12 feet of water pulling small jigs till you find one.

Dec 3, 2011 · Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina classify yellow perch as a game fish. As mentioned yellow bass are a game fish in Alabama waters but not Ga waters. Alabama and SC have reciprocal agreements with Ga in regards to creel and size limits for some species of fish. I do not believe they apply to yellow bass and perch so one should check.
