Asus vivobook camera cover slider fell off : r/ASUS - Reddit
Sep 9, 2023 · I bought my asus vivobook 16x pro intel 12th gen a week ago, but noticed the camera cover slider was a bit flimsy, and today it just fell off. I put it back in but when I close the laptop it falls again. Is there any way to fix it or buy a new slider?

it's a privacy flap that you can close and open manually. above, there's a serrated thingy that you can push or pull to the left or right. That's the privacy cover for the webcam. Like others said privacy latch is moved to middle so the cover is showing a bit. If you slide slider at top of lid above dot you will see that dot is on the cover.
