About SJI
St. Joseph’s Institution (SJI) (圣若瑟书院 shèng ruò sè shū yuàn) is a Catholic secondary school for boys founded in 1852 by the Brothers of the Christian Schools or De La Salle Brothers. It is the 3rd oldest secondary school in Singapore.
Our People - SJI
Our People. SJI is currently headed by Principal, Mr Justin Arul Pierre. Taking care of the learning needs of more than 2,000 students in SJI are 175 teaching staff comprising Heads of Department, Heads of Level and teachers and allied educators. The students and teachers are assisted by 41 administrative and support staff.

Admission to SJI
SJI is an all-boys-only secondary school that offers the Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) Programme and Integrated Programme. Female students may join the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in SJI (junior college/Year 5) after their GCE O-Levels. Admission to Secondary 1. School Fees & Financial Assistance - SJI
School & Miscellaneous Fees. The monthly school fees and miscellaneous fees for 2024 are listed in the table above. Fees are subject to change. Fees payable are calculated on an annual basis and spread over a period of 12 months. For all new admissions, school fees can only be paid through GIRO.
The SJI Milestones
2021: The Lasallian Year of St Joseph, Patron of the Lasallian Family (8 December 2020 to 8 December 2021). The Year of St Joseph marks the 150th anniversary of the declaration of St Joseph as the Patron of the Catholic Church. In honour of the anniversary, Pope Francis declared 2021, a special year of St Joseph.
DSA - SJI
The Direct School Admission (DSA) is a scheme which gives SJI the flexibility to select students for admission based on a recognition of more diverse range of achievements and talents than just results achieved at national examinations. SJI offers DSA into the following levels:
Admission to Secondary 1 - SJI
SJI is an all-boys secondary school from Year 1 to 4. Admission to SJI is by merit only, based on the student’s Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) scores. Returning Singaporeans who would like to be admitted into Secondary 1 are advised to sit for the SPERS-Sec papers.
IB Diploma Programme - SJI
In addition to secondary school education for boys, SJI offers pre-university education for both boys and girls with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) *.
