Oct 7, 2013 · Just bought a 686 plus yesterday and the grips are awful. Anywhere I can find the grips like the factory grips of 3 years ago? Hogue has them, without the S&W logo, and be sure to check S&W's web site under grips as they probably still have some for sale.

Jan 13, 2022 · I have both Pachmeyer Diamond Pro grips and Hogue tamer grips on my 686's .The Pachmeyer Diamond Pro grips are a little fatter and have thicker rubber on the backstrap ,it shoots softer ,But i have small fingers ,so the tamers fit me better ,they soak up just a little less recoil because they are thinner on the sides ,not speading out the recoil as much as the D. These are still the OEM grips on S&W 10, 64, & 67 models pictured in the S&W '09 catalog as well as on the 619, the fixed sight version of the 620, as depicted on S&W's site.
