Apr 28, 2018 · As stated, generally different bios files come from different versions (revisions/regions) of the console hardware, and are almost always named based on these model numbers. So theoretically, the models I posted are the most recent NA hardware revision, and would contain/be the most recently-updated NA bios files.

The PS2 Bios on the top (the mediafire link) is linked to malware. If you care enough to do a Virustotal scan, you may end up seeing that it's filled with malware. To deal with this malware, take out the hard drive (or SSD) and just buy a new one.

Apr 20, 2022 · If you're using PCSX2, nope; 1 bios to play them all. You can use any bios as long as it's not the very first one ever released and you should be fine. If you encounter any region blocking, just use the "Fast Boot" option.
