But, I did a clean install of Windows 10 a couple of months ago and found out recently that I had to reinstall "HEIC Image Viewer - Support Converter" to view Apple HEIC files with various kinds of Windows 10 software.

Aug 30, 2019 · Well, I have another PC so I checked Paint/HEIC on it. Worked fine. Did a 'Reset' of Windows 10. Fresh re-install. When that completed the HEIF File Extensions were installled. However, the HEVC Video extensions were not. So, I installed that package. Now Paint is opening the HEIC files just fine.
