Aug 26, 2019 · Basically, these themes are similar to the basic GRUB menu only with a few differences. We have the same ability for a background image as well as fonts (I will go over the process of adding fonts). We can add a highlighter to the selected item in the menu so it is more than simply highlighted.

Mar 23, 2010 · edit the /etc/default/burg file to make the changes to GRUB_THEME and GRUB_GFXMODE. ie: GRUB_THEME=sora and GRUB_GFXMODE=1680x1050 if your video pukes to the setting you chose for the gfxmode it is possible you dont have that vbe mode, in a grub prompt run vbeinfo.

Oct 19, 2023 · I want to know how i can change my resolution or the font size of my grub menu. However this is not your avarage installation of grub, it is not installed on a harddrive it is on a live USB, it has no grub on it as a normal linux system does, there is actually not even a terminal that is workable because it needs to be changed manually in the cfg file.

Parts of your "Customising The Menu Items" section seem like they might not be the same for the 1.99 config files - I'll investigate this later.
