Sep 16, 2016 · I've got 1" CPVC CTS pipe and the largest pressure gauge thread I found was 1/4". Seems easy enough, connect a tee on the CPVC and reduce to 1/4". I've looked online at big box stores as well as Grainger and others and can't seem to find a combination of adapters, bushings, reducers, couplings, etc. that requires less than 3 parts.

Mar 10, 2007 · I know that on PEX, to use a compression fitting, you need the sleeve inside of the pipe (they are usually SS on the ones I've seen) to make a reliable connection; otherwise, the compression can collapse the pipe or allow the valve to slide off or leak as you found.

Jul 13, 2019 · CPVC does get brittle. If the wall is open, I can see switching. The tub spout needs to be copper pipe or threaded brass nipples. PEX or CPVC can't be run to a tub spout or the water will be forced up to the shower head while filling the tub.
