Wireless Beats headphones not recognized as audio output
Jul 20, 2023 · My Beats Studio 3 headphones can connect via bluetooth to my Windows 11 laptop (HP ENVY x360 2-in-1 Laptop 15-ew0xxx), but I cannot select them as an audio output. These headphones work perfectly fine on other devices, and my computer can connect to and play audio from other bluetooth headphones.

I can use the headphones for calls wirelessly with both my iPhone and MacBook.

I cannot "Set as Default Device." Under "Devices and Printers" "Beats Solo 3 Stereo" is listed, but under the "Device Manager" it does not exist under "Audio, inputs and outputs"

Apr 23, 2015 · Here's a thought - if the beats wireless headphones are seen as a wireless PHONE "Bluetooth headset" (like a Bluetooth earpiece) then it will sound terrible. If it's seen as Bluetooth speakers it might sound better. My Blackberry speaker is actually a hands-free unit that you can clip on a sun visor so you can talk hands-free in the car.
