Unable to output 4k resolution (potentially) after recent update.
Sep 18, 2023 · I've checked the monitor settings, there's no option to change the resolution. Tried with another laptop, that is able to set a 4k resolution for the external monitor. I'd don't see anything saying "desktop mode" or "activate signal mode". If I click through to "display adapter properties" and then "list all modes", I don't see a 4k resolution.

Mar 25, 2022 · Under Settings > Display Resolution it is showing 2560 x 1440 as the recommended resolution instead of 5120 x 1440. I can still change the resolution in Windows 11 to 5120 x 1440 but when I open applications or games then those applications will attempt to lock my resolution down to 2560 x 1440. My Nvidia driver is: 512.15 for my Geforce RTX 3080.

Apr 21, 2024 · I just purchased Phillips 28" 4K monitors. Windows 11 recognizes the monitors, but only offers a 1980 x 1080, 2048 x 1152 (1152 x 2048 portrait) resolution for them. Their recommended resolution is 3840 x 2160, but that resolution does nor show up in Display Settings, UPDATE: I am on an HP-Envy computer, and I was using a "Pluggable Hub".
