May 2, 2021 · 120 fps will make a bigger difference than resolution, but at the same time you cant be going too low with the resolution and the graphics settings. If everything is at max settings then I would take 4k 60 vs 1080p 120. But at the same time I'm going to take 1440p 120 over 4k 60. Also 4k 120 if you have the hardware to push that.

May 2, 2021 · Others though, like Battlefield V on Series X, just look soooo much better at 4k 60fps that it's hard to justify the visual hit for the extra performance. 4k 120+fps is the ultimate performance profile of course, and RTX 3080/3090, and RX 6800/6900 XT cards on PC are delivering that, amazingly enough.

Dec 15, 2023 · I'm playing Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition right now at 4K with a 60 fps unlocker and it stutters frequently in the early game. Lowering your resolution won't help, it's completely on the CPU and even the highest end hardware won't escape the compilation (just like with native PC titles that suffer from the same issue).

Nov 7, 2021 · 1440p/60fps If I had to choose between 1080p/60 and 4K/30, I guess it would just depend on the genre, but since I still have a 1080p TV in my bedroom, I guess I'd just go with that, since 60fps > 30fps for non turn based games.

144fps @ 1440p for EVERY game or 60fps @ 4k for single
Aug 6, 2020 · On consoles 60 fps is enough, but on PC using a mouse, 144 feels so much better. Of course controller based games benefit too. I've been playing the new Ori at 1440p,144 fps and it looks amazingly fluid in motion, and the input response is instantaneous.
