Luna Tenebris was a huge Moon Dragon of unknown kind who towered over ordinary dragons. She had silvery-white skin and a silver underside that sported three dark blue gems on its chest area and reached from her chin down to the tip of her tail.

Luna Tenebris was born in Xadia at an unknown point in history and mastered the arcanum of the Moon over several years, growing into an Archdragon. 1000 years before the birth of Azymondias, she succeeded Sol Regem as monarch of the dragons.

Luna Tenebris is a minor character in The Dragon Prince: The Mystery of Aaravos. She was an Archdragon of the Moon and the former Queen of the Dragons. She succeeded Sol Regem and was preceded by Avizandum, with her era dating back 1000 years before the birth of Azymondias.

Jan 1, 2021 · From the name alone, I would gather that she was a Moon Dragon. She was also responsible for carrying out the humans' exile to the west; I always thought that happened not long after Ziard blinded Sol Regem, suggesting that she was a contemporary of Sol Regem. Sol Regem had horns/headplate/whatever that was that looked like sun beams.

I've heard some speculation before that Luna Tenebris may have been a partner to Sol Regem, which would make sense, since apparently they count for succession. Sol is a Sun dragon. Luna, moon and Avizandum, Sky. (iirc) So, i quite doubt that they're related. Especially considering how racist dragons are, (perhaps even towards each other.)

Although she at first believed humanity should be annihilated, Luna Tenebris was persuaded by the daughter of an elven leader to spare their lives, instead banishing them to live in the western parts of Xadia, which would eventually become the Human Kingdoms.
