May 8, 2017 · Breville customer service update. After three weeks of inaction and a complaint to the place of purchase (the Bay), I finally got a call-back. Breville apologized for the delay, with some lame excuses that I won't flush out here. Bottom line they are sending me a Smart Grinder Pro (BCG820BSSXL) to replace my entry level Dose Control (BCG400SIL).

Mar 14, 2021 · Other than the Niche it's the only grinder that does okay at the whole range of coffee grinds, at 1/5 the price. I debated replacing it with the Niche, but I don't use my espresso machine enough to justify it. The breville is a good grinder for 90% of coffee drinkers I think.

Nov 29, 2021 · Unfortunately as someone else posted, it will cost $100 for Breville to replace impeller, making it a short-lived $300 grinder. But even then, Breville does not warranty the repair. Anyone can replace the impeller, but Breville will not sell parts to anyone, and the impellers produced by 3D printers don't fit this.
