The Indian Youth Congress (IYC), on Friday, staged a protest against former chief minister and AAP's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal for his failure to keep his promise of cleaning the Yamuna river.

Former Delhi CM on Friday said that the toxicity of the water in the Yamuna in Delhi had come down, thanks to the protests by the Aam Aadmi Party and the people of the national capital. He further said that the Election Commission has threatened to "punish" him for his stance on the Yamuna water ahead of the Delhi Assembly polls.

The Indian Youth Congress protested against former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for failing to improve the Yamuna River's pollution. Led by IYC president Uday Bhanu Chib, they criticized Kejriwal for neglecting his promises and exacerbating Delhi's pollution crisis since AAP's rise to power.

AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal went to the Election Commission on Friday to submit his response to the second notice served to him over his claim that Haryana was releasing “poisonous” water to Delhi.

The Haryana Chief Minister held the Aam Admi Party national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, responsible for failing to clean the Yamuna water and making baseless allegations to divert the attention of the people.

During his visit, Kejriwal reiterated that his comments about the Yamuna being “poisoned” were in reference to the unprecedented levels of ammonia in the water supplied to Delhi from Haryana. He emphasised that his statements were not intended to accuse any party of malicious intent but were meant to highlight a serious environmental and public health crisis.

Arvind Kejriwal levelled serious allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party, stating that the BJP-ruled Haryana government has poisoned the Yamuna water supplied to Delhi so that people die and the blame comes on the AAP.
