The City of Savannah is preparing to open warming centers city-wide for residents next week in anticipation of extreme winter weather.

While some from our area are in D.C. excited to witness the historic day, others are in in D.C. with a different reaction to his presidency.

The Tompkins Regional Center, located at 2333 Ogeechee Road, will open Sunday and Monday at 7 p.m. as a last-resort shelter, closing at 7 a.m. the following morning. The warming center will re-open Tuesday, running from 3 p.m. through 11 a.m. Thursday.
