An avalanche of lawsuits filed against Bayer in Missouri is pitting the chemical maker against trial attorneys and cancer patients.

Bayer pleaded with Missouri lawmakers Thursday to pass legislation critics say would shield the company from lawsuits claiming its glyphosate-based herbicide Roundup causes cancer.

National grain growers association Aprosoja said last Friday that Bayer AG, owner of the “INTACTA 2 XTEND” seed technology, is inviting local farmers to participate in trials this season.
