DALLAS — A Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) outage caused driver's license offices to shut down statewide early on Monday, officials said. According to a statement Monday afternoon, the DPS was "experiencing an outage" that affected driver license offices across the state. The offices had to shut down for the rest of the day.

"Our staff is working with affected customers to reschedule their appointments as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused," officials said.
