Police said they "continued the low-speed pursuit" until the truck collided with a Lake County Sheriff's Department squad car.

The fleeing truck drove at "low speeds, continuously stopping and then driving off," police said, as officers attempted to make contact with the driver.

A Lake County Sheriff’s Department squad car was hit by a truck during a low-speed chase overnight in north suburban Mundelein. According to the Mundelein Police Department, two Lake County sheriff’s deputies and one Mundelein police officer were taken to an area hospital and treated for minor injuries.
