South Jersey power broker George Norcross appeared in Superior Court on Wednesday along with several other defendants as their attorneys asked a judge to dismiss the corruption cases against them.

A hearing will be held Wednesday to consider dismissing the racketeering and extortion charges against the South Jersey Democratic power broker.

Today’s a big day for the George Norcross case. His motion to dismiss, along with his co-defendants, is set to be heard at 10 a.m. by Judge Peter Warshaw. To summarize hundreds of pages of arguments in a few sentences: Norcross and his co-defendants claim Attorney General Matt Platkin is just prosecuting hard bargaining.
