Deer hunting season for Tennessee hunters who use guns is almost here. Deer hunting season, which is among the most popular, began in early November for people who don't use guns and will close out in early January 2025.

Hunters are advised to keep safety top of mind to avoid becoming a target with deer firearms season underway. Kelsey Gillenwater, a Buchanan County conservation agent, offered tips to those who are on the hunt.
