The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide in north Charlotte Saturday afternoon.

CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said one person was killed in a crash in northwest Charlotte Sunday night. CMPD said officers were investigating the crash around 11 p.m. near Bellhaven Boulevard and Bellhaven Circle. On the scene, Channel 9 crews could see a car flipped on its side and several police cruisers blocking the road.

A 17-year-old boy has died after a shooting Saturday afternoon in northeast Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Around 4 p.m. on Jan. 18, officers responded to the 8700 block of Hollow Creek Circle about someone needing medical assistance.
