Please note that active vehicle assembly times vary daily. Production is not expected after 2 p.m. on weekdays and all Saturdays. Ford Rouge Factory Tour is a five-part experience housed within Ford’s Dearborn Truck Plant. Immerse yourself in the most iconic moments of American manufacturing history, as well as today's most progressive automotive concepts. Includes our Legacy Theater, Manufacturing Innovation Theater, Observation Deck Overlooking the Living Roof, Plant Walkway (Active assembly schedule varies), and Legacy Gallery and Electric Vehicle Display. Plus, our Seasonal Living Lab Outdoor Environmental Area.
If I bought tickets for the Sunday tour at 3pm, do I need to be on the bus at 3pm or do I need to be at the bus at 2:15 to get to the factory at 3pm? How long should we give ourselves to park and get our family to the bus? Also how long is the tour? We are operating on a tight schedule but we would really like to do the tour on a Saturday afternoon following our family get together.

Your tour will begin at 3 when you leave on the bus. The ride to the factory is about 20 minutes, then there are two movies that are each about 15 minutes in length. Then you go to the top of the elevator to have an additional short tour. The factory viewing area part of the tour is last and is self guided so you can take as long or as short as you’d like. Then you catch the bus back whenever you are ready. They run every 15 min or so. We did a 9:30 tour, and I believe we were back at the Henry Ford museum right around noon bc I remember we were at the museum restaurant during the lunch rush. I would allow 2.5-3 hours for the tour total including shuttle time.
Having a truck built do not have the number yet.But like to watch it built any info appreciated.

How long is the tour? We are planning on doing the Henry Ford one day, Greenfield Village the second day (or vice versa depending on weather) then we thought we'd do the Factory tour after that- the morning we checkout of the hotel to leave. Is that crazy? Would you do it one of the other mornings?
