We went on an early weekday morning. Cattle seem to be grazing over most of the area. We particularly enjoyed the driving tour area, west of Hwy. 125, with lots of birds and prairie dogs. The walking… Full review by AndSand76

We just drove the state highway which much had been decimated by fire nearby. We saw lots of things, but finally spotted a moose which we had been scouting for. An amazing place. Full review by davidkQ9686WR

The paths are designed for easy access to viewing wildlife and nature. Park is easy to get around and there are birds galore. Wished I had more time there. Full review by bolla1

Is this place dog friendly?
A:
Like any National Wildlife Refuge I have been to, sure! You can take your dog. You probably shouldn’t let your dog run loose, nor harass the wildlife, but dogs need some outdoor time too.
